so would the 2001 spurs
The '01 to '07 spurs had some ridiculous teams. If it wasn't for the Derek Fisher shot or Manu's bad foul on Dirk at the end of game 7, it's not crazy to think the spurs could have won 5 straight.

I'm tryna think of any of the Spurs teams from 1999-2006 that last year's rox would beat. Can't think of one.
And only 3 of those Spurs teams won it all.
Jeez.
I'll give 'em the '07, '09, and '10 teams, just to round out the decade.

That’s spurs team got took to 7 by the lowly mavs. people only remember the end bc of Recency bias. Which is something that I personally don’t fall victim to. But as a whole. Yea not comparable to CC.

the spurs unfortunately ran into the single greatest 1-2 pairing in the history of the league which kept them from winning in 2001 and 2002, but they STILL found a way to beat them eventually. the rockets should take notes on beating teams like that

pop won’t even win another playoff series. Any anyways And I am a bigger fan of the league than I am of any one team. so your usual ‘my team has more titles’ smack falls on deaf ears. I have my own criteria in my analysis. And it ain’t the lower IQ default of ‘titles”. Cc is an all timer. This much is true.

Sounds about right coming from someone whose team hasn't won a legit title in franchise history.
Fuuuuck, MAVfan is flinging the asterisks like shuriken at rocketfan.
And connecting

who needs actual trophies that clarify you are a true champion when you can have moral titles?
The fair cities of Dallas and San Antonio are no match for moral title dynasty that calls houston home

This is coming from Mr. "Pop won't win another playoff series," for those of y'all scoring this shite at home

Ya take that back. Ain't no moral victory associated with taking down Boston, New York, and LA on the way to a championship.

Spurs been done for years. I called pop not ever winning a series again about feb of last year. When we knew Kawhi wouldn’t be back. and one of your low iq a&m / spurs combo brethren actually put 100$ on it. Sucker bet. B wins again

tSultans of the West, tbh. Good times

To be fair, the way houston's city is set up, they can't really be thinking about hosting Finals games and shite. Better to let San Antonio and Dallas host those. The last 23 Finals games in the state of Texas have gone well, so there's really no need to change the status quo tbh

How many years?
This happened less than two years ago, for reference

That was when harden was not himself. The best spurs team ever wouldn’t have beat last year CC.

I'd say we have a large enough sample size of playoff hardLn in houston to say that, yes, that game 5 performance was par for the course for him late in playoff series.
Just not a championship winning kinda guy, bubba.

What are you talking about? Have you seen the number of moral championships he has won?
