My favorite was when I straight up told a coworker I was tired because two NBA teams got in a fight in a secret tunnel underneath the arena.

He will barely play next year

Boom got the spin cycle going in the other thread already:

Ariza was like the 5th or 6th beat player. We love Trevor and are happy he is getting paid but this isn’t a big loss. CC with no Chris Paul was the second best team In the the league behind warriors. Surely they are still #2 with no Trevor.

Yeah I dunno why you would sign him to a 1 year deal

That MLK night was incredible

Should we take bets on what Boom's spin will be of Ariza tomorrow?
Other signings and trades can happen that may more than make up for letting Ariza walk.

Now I'm trying to think of all the late nights I spent on here instead of sleeping like a sane person

Trying to explain NBA things to non-NBA people is my favorite part of it all. I tried to explain to a person I work with about being so tired after staying up for the Colangelo burner account debacle, and she looked at me like I was crazy.
When I was stationed in Missouri, I had to explain to folks why I was tired and/or pissed after NBA Finals games in 2013 and 2014. Then I was mad about THAT, like "what kinds of miserable, non-basketball lives do y'all people lead? How do you survive?"
Now though working in an office full of Spurs fans (we have one Mavs fan in there. he's always grumpy

Oh, nobody is debating that. It's just that Boom with 10000% confidence said Trevor Ariza was going nowhere 10 minutes before Woj dropped that bomb.

I just don’t get why these big superstars wanna win rings. Paul George will never sniff a championship same with boogie if he stays with the Pelicans. Golden state is loving this
Why they do want to win rings, or why they don't?
And if you meant don't, you have to ask yourself what the value of a ring is, outside of peace of mind? Because $ can more than make up for that to an extent.

There's almost no scenario where there's a team that equals or betters golden state on paper even if everything worked out.
I'm thinking a lot of teams are content staying competitive and hoping for a good bounce. Who knows, one golden state injury could bust the whole thing open.
Paul George is in about as good a situation as he could be from a competitive standpoint outside of golden state.
It's not like him or russ only have a few years left anyways and there's going to be new players pop up next year in free agency.

Being East Coast for the playoffs was absolutely miserable in college. Weekends were fine, but trying to stay up for the games that ended at 1:30 with an early class the next morning was brutal.
CST was much needed when getting into the real world.

Rockets are also hoping to attach a few picks to rid themselves of Anderson.

Yeah that would kill a brotha
In high school I used to get up at like 2 and 3 AM to watch NBA games on AFN when my family was stationed in Europe. That shite had me DRAGGING by the time afternoon rolled around on school days.

Yeah. $5.3 million I believe. They can also trade.
