I don’t see how Phoenix could eat Deng’s contract without moving Knight somewhere. A Booker/Lonzo backcourt would be something tho

Every rumor with us regarding trades would result in us assembling tGOAT League Pass squad and losing 125-140 every night.

I still think Lonzo will be good, but I don't know if he'd be a great fit. You'd be counting on JJ and Ayton to become dangerous three point shooters to make it work.

Gilgeous-Alexander would be an interesting backcourt partner for Booker as well but I dk if he will be there at 16

I think that would be a dream scenario for Phoenix though if they don’t make other moves. Ayton and SGA. You would need some jumper development from SGA and Jackson and Ayton to project defensively but SGA and Jackson are the type of defenders Booker needs around him IMO

He's the guy Suns fans seem to really hope is there at 16. He'd probably fill the biggest need. Zhaire Smith and Knox are also options if they somehow make it there. Robert Williams would be an option if they shocked people and took Doncic. Really the Suns need a big and a PG, but I hope they'll take a wing at 16 if they feel that's the best player.

I'm totally okay rolling with Knight at PG for a season. Knight isn't great and he's definitely underachieved. However, he's had some awful injury luck. He's been in some awful situations.

Why do I get this feeling that SA is going to ship Kawhi to the Lakers for a lot more than people initially thought.

He's alright, but not good enough defensively. He's also going to get paid more than the Pels can offer (presumably).

Rudy gay could just be ring chasing now. I wouldn’t mind him coming off the bench

Internet user SDVTiger, here is a useful link for the Clippers’ cap situation to help you understand how transactions work relative to the salary cap LINK

The absolute best offer LAC can put on the table is something like Harris, Beverley and #12, which the Lakers, Celtics, and Sixers could easily trump imo. On top of that, there really isn’t any path for the Clippers to clear another max spot for someone like Lebron or Paul George, if they even had an interest in playing there.

Oh I completely believe Magic is willing to part with every asset the Lakers have in the chamber to land Kawhi if it’s the first step to a big 3 of Kawhi/Lebron/PG imho.

It’s much different from the George situation last summer where it kinda makes sense for Magic to overpay for Kawhi given their cap situation this summer

Lol I know you don’t really understand the cap but can you read? Yes of course they can make a trade but the bucket of slop the Clippers are working with can easily be trumped by the other 3 and I do not think that’s debatable.

Ingram/Kuzma/Hart/pick
Fultz/Saric/RoCo/#10
Brown/Rozier/Morris/Kings or Memphis pick

All of the above blows away anything the Clippers can offer

So then what the frick does the cap have to do with anything
We have tons of cap space for 2019 and we can trade Jordan to the spurs or Houston this year like he wants

Yeah between what it will take to unload Deng and get Kawhi I don’t know how many quality youngsters will be left. WGAS if you have Kawhi Lebron and PG13

The Spurs or Rockets would have to actually want DeAndre and would still have to send money back...
