IMO, the NBA needs to contract six teams and distribute the talent. Expansion is the last thing that league needs.
the NBA has added one team in what will be 25 years or more by the time they add another, and in that time, the global talent base has grown almost exponentially. There's enough NBA talent out there for 40 or so teams IMO

There are 3 teams who have a legitimate shot to win it all going into a given season. That's 27 teams who have no chance before the season even begins. You think we should raise that to 37?

Eh, I'd argue we are only a few seasons away from seeing more parity. We may see it this Summer if Lebron leaves Cleveland heading West.

The Celtics, Sixers, Bucks, and Raptors are young and will hopefully evolve into contenders

Warriors, Rockets, and whatever teams Lebron and Kawhi land will be good in the West

Most major sports leagues have the same level of parity as the NBA. The NFL could be considered an exception but MLB, NHL, and MLS all have perenial doormat franchises just like the NBA

St. Louis should take the Hawks back (it's not like anyone in Atlanta would care).

Vancouver quickly lost the Grizzlies. I’d be surprised if they got a team again.

No one here cares about the NBA anymore. They didn’t want the Grizzlies when when they left Vancouver. And they don’t want any team now.

They only lasted 6 years with a expansion team once before.

at least one NBA executive thinks that Kansas City is another potential spot for expansion

There you have it, 1 guy out of 30ish, and it's news.

Nah.

There are only 6 or 8 teams you expect to get out of round 2.

No more teams. Certainly.not a flight to Mexico city at altitude.
