Yeah, that's definitely not a good one.
I love how if you Google Tristan Thompson, you have to scroll to the bottom of the first page just to get his ESPN player profile. That should describe where his career is at

Holy frick I just said the same exact thing.
I was looking for bbref and it wasnt even there.
It's pages of gossip news and then basketball shite at the very bottom. Honestly that about sums up Tristan Thompson's career.

He should have listened to LeBron about being around a Kardashian.

I could never understand how a guy as athletic as him with like a 7 2 wingspan was so bad at protecting the rim

Tristan Thompson is a great offensive rebounder and a decent defensive rebounder.
He is subpar in every other area. He has been in the league a long time and still has zero offensive skill.

JR too. Those two guys, LeBron rescued them from being vet minimum guys and got them both a lot of money.

quote:Not only is Capela 3 years younger than Thompson, he contributes 3.1 more points per 100 possessions (+2.1) compared to Thompson (-1.0) bases on the average of the 4 major advanced +/- metrics (BPM, PIPM, RAPM, PIPM). Just looking that their shooting efficiency: Thompson’s best seasons from the field (60.0%) is considerable worse than Capela’s career average (63.5%), and the same holds true for True Shooting percentage as well (Thompson’s career best is 61.1% and Capela’s career average is 62.9%).
Capela and Tristan Thompson are the same player.
Cavs wouldnt want to take that shite contract.

quote:And thankfully it paid off since they wouldn’t have had that championship without them since Thompson’s defense and rebounding was huge in the series and JR hit a couple huge threes to keep the Cavs in striking distance just as the Warriors looked like they were about to pull away in the 2nd half of game seven.

I’m just mad that my insomnia hit the night before the parade and when I finally fell asleep (between 5-6) was an hour before I would have had to get up to make the ride with my friends. And they got to walk down the street to the parade with the legendary Bernie Kosar.

WBB, tell us again how Irving and love missing the 2015 finals had no impact on the outcome of the series.

quote:Played 60 minutes in 5 games and GSW was outscored by 25 points, which is equivalent to getting outscored by 20 points per 48 minutes. The team was +14 in those 5 games with him off the floor (+3.7 per 48).
Bogut hurt
quote:A lot of players playing heavy minutes end up playing hurt when the finals come around. Just in the last few years against the Warriors this has included stars such as Lebron, Kyrie, Love, and Kawhi. And let’s just ignore that unlike Iggy and Steph, Love couldn’t even play through his injury (concussion) and has to miss more than a game.
Iggy Hurt
Steph hurt
quote:Well he should have been suspended in the series before that they took to 7, and he only has himself to blame for getting so many technicals to get to that point.
Green suspension
Regardless they went 3-3 with him, and the game he was out, they lost by 15 points. And in the other 6 games he averaged 40 minuets per game with a total +/- of +23, or 4.6 points per 48. And at that pace, he would he had to play 156.5 minutes to get to 15 points.
But all these arguments of moot, because the fact of the matter is that they won the championship. And it comes with no specifiers or qualifiers, so your flawed attempt to add them are irrelevant to the truth of it.

You can Attempt to justify it but for many many hoops enthusiasts that title is one that is always remember for being marred by injury moreso than for any other story line.

the cavs were not ever anywhere close to the warriors in any year. At full strength. The year the warriors won they woulda won no matter if cavs got hurt or not. Anyone who disagrees has inferior basketball iq.

quote:They probably weren’t. And there are champions in every sport that have beaten teams who were better on paper. That’s why the play the games. Otherwise we could just run a million simulations and declare a champion in a few minutes.

quote:I actually think the Warriors would still have the advantages, even with Love and Kyrie. But guess what? The series was close enough and the injuries were to players important enough (far more impactful than 2016) to make just as valid, if not more, of an argument that you’re making using your reasoning.
The year the warriors won they woulda won no matter if cavs got hurt or not.
