Should just ditch the ones they debuted with the rebrand. They are stale.

I’d imagine that the league has something in place preventing them from doing that. Otherwise, they probably would have.

On one hand, they probably do.
On the other hand, the NBA is fairly progressive as far as pro leagues go in terms of not letting dumbshit rules get in the way of things that just make sense.
Those whites just "feel" more New Orleans to me. Kind of resembles the NOLA flag (Read white and Blue horizontal stripes with gold Fleur de Lis). The standard blues and whites look like some template design. Like the rebrand design team threw them together real quick just to show how the colors looked, but then never got around to designing the actual uniform.
These have character.

The Athletic is saying the top spots for Russ are Houston, Detroit & Miami.
Houston would have to dump cp3 right? A harden/russ reunion would be incredible. No one else would ever get the ball

Houston is highly unlikely. They'd have to swap CP3 and Westbrook....which would not make any sense for OKC. Why take on that contract when you're resetting?

I'd want Houston for entertainment purposes but I agree, I don't see it happening.
I think Miami is the most realistic. It seems like Jimmy chose Miami to be the unquestioned #1 so it'd be interesting to see how that would play out.
