Yeah if they can overpay a little on a 2 year deal for a good vet I think that would be ideal. Not sure who

Houston is clearly serious about finding a way to land Butler, who grew up in nearby Tomball, Texas and who is at the top of the Rockets’ offseason wish list. As for the key question of whether the Sixers would be willing to cooperate in a possible sign-and-trade, a source with knowledge of their situation said it’s looking likely. There is, it seems, a strong desire to avoid losing him for nothing if Butler decides to head elsewhere. To review, first-year Philadelphia general manager Elton Brand landed Butler (along with Justin Patton) back in early November in exchange for Jerryd Bayless, Robert Covington, Dario Saric and a 2022 second-round pick.

Looking likely that sixers wanna complete the sign and trade. Gonna definitely miss our 6man Eric. He has been great.

I wouldn't mind a slightly-below $20 mil deal on Brogdon, even if it is longer than two, because he is that perfect backcourt mate for a guy like Luka

I'd love Bev, but I don't know about that much. I didn't realize he's only turning 31. He looks like he's about 36 already

It's all part of the negotiation process, which OF COURSE NBA reporters have exaggerated:

Kupchak - "Kemba we'll offer x numver of years for $__ Million"
Kemba - "I'll need a little more or I might consider another team, like Boston"

NBA Reporters - "SIDES TOO FAR APART, BOSTON NOW FRONT RUNNER"

I know seeking and getting are two different things as well, so I would guess it'll be lower.

Bev-Brogdon-Luka-Porzingod-Maxi would be a damn good starting 5 and I think they could fit Bev and Brogdon in a max slot

Seems more likely that he’s only resigning in Charlotte if they give him the max, so if they aren’t doing that then that’s where Boston came in.

Agreed. Plays defense, 40% from 3PT, super low usage rate. Would be a perfect complementary piece imo

The reason his usage rate is low is because he only averages 7 pts and 4 assists in 30 minutes per game.

A low usage rate isn’t inherently a good thing. A low usage rate just means you don’t really do anything on offense.

Of course the Suns aren't even going for him. Gotta sign Corey Joseph for 12 mil a year instead.

A lot of teams are going to hugely overpay this season...and a lot of patient teams are going to get some really great value.

There's huge amounts of cap space and huge amount of free agents.

Some teams that are desperate to be in the playoffs this year *cough* are going to give some absurd contracts, shrinking the amount of teams that can pay. The leftovers would be smart to sign one year deals because next year's FA looks awful.
