Regardless, I’m not sure why people seem to think the odds for FA signing, which is basically a prop bet, is very useful. Not only do bookmakers have a huge VIG (“profit” margin between all implied probabilities and 100%) on these types of bets (30%ish for Kawhi according to Bovoda), all odds (specifically changes) are partially a function of the betting behaviors of those gambling.

8% of his salary is the max raise, and it's only 5% if you're signing another team's FA. The veteran minimum is more than 5% of Kawhi's max, so there is no need to backload anything. Green would make more money coming on a vet minimum.
