First off, as a huge Spurs fan...I despise the Mavs. I have hated everything that is Dallas. When Mark Cuban trashed the SA Riverwalk in '06, I wanted his arse beat by someone. When Jason Terry gave Bowen a crotch shot that same series, I was done with him as a guy I'd select on my fantasy team.

I enjoyed their chokes in '06 and '07. It was sweet redemption last year punking them out of the postseason. I loved walking around South Texas with a Spurs shirt showing 4 trophies, not some division championship bullshite.

And Dirk? I loved his game, respected his game, but grew tired of his flopping antics (I know, I know...but he wasn't on MY team) and viewed him the same way I viewed Michael Jordan. Great player...can't stand him on someone else's team.

Anyway...the beginning of this season was surreal to me. I didn't expect much out of the Spurs, except maybe another ho-hum 50-win season. I kid, I kid.

I was so caught up in the Cleveland/Lebron issue...the pussification of the NBA (IMHO) with these superteams, and how my favorite players of the 90's wouldn't stand for this garbage.

Anyway, this shite just took an unreal spin. For instance:

Dirk's fever. MJ gets revered for playing not hurt, but SICK. Dirk gets jostled a bit by the anti-close Lebron and the king of milking injuries for what they are worth in DWade. So be it...just make sure if you talk shite, you win the game. And if you get outed in this media-heavy day...man up. Don't say it was a real cough Wade...damn dude.

Charles Barkley was right...Miami fans are the worst. They are either 70+ year olds in light blue sweaters leaving early, or some mob of people who acts like a 15-year old gang/posse outside the arena during postgame shows. They got what they deserved.

Lebron, the world doesn't hate you. I for one, think Wade is just as much of a puss as you for wanting to play with his "friends" on South Beach. I hope it was fun...you guys looked oh so joyous during the last few minutes of game 6.

And Lebron is right...we all wake up with the same problems tomorrow despite his loss. No shite? The world didn't end "King" James? Wow! My hernia pain is still bothering me...geez...I thought it would go away if the Mavs lost.

And Wade is in the same boat. You are a great player DwYane, but get over yourself and play the game. All this side show celebration before the season shite was bush league.

I feel bad for Bosh. He looked like he didn't fit in with the two kids anyway...

I am proud of Dirk. After years of going against him, it's nice to see the trophy back in Texas and nice to see him win a ring without a superteam. Just don't win 3 more...

And one other Lebron moment. Spare me this "I" got 2 wins closer to a ring than "I" did in 2007. Maybe next year "I" can win 2 more games and "I" can get a ring.

Right...because "you" did oh so much to help win that ring this year. What a chickenshit statement coming from a guy who'd rather pass to Chalmers and Haslem.

Ugh...that's it...congrats to the Mavs...

fricking this.

But the Lebron hate is unreal to me. If you aren't a Cavs fan or a Mavs fan, why hate him? Most of us would do the same thing, especially if we played for the Cavs.

Like I said...I don't HATE Lebron. But he did nothing this year to make any neutral fans like myself embrace him.

Preseason celebration - CHECK

act like an arrogant bitch who HASN'T been there before - CHECK

constantly refer to yourself in interviews - CHECK

make the Finals - CHECK

win with class - uh...oops.

lose with class - try again

I mean, I think Wade is just as much of a shite as Lebron is. Wade's demeanor changed. He didn't want to lead either, and poor Bosh being the role player that he is, was sucked into this vortex of normal human beings who kick and flail in the water when shite is on the line.

As a Mavs fan the only thing sweeter would have been to sweep the Spurs on route to their first NBA Championship.

Bruce Bowen is one dirty player. He deserved a crotch shot.

The riverwalk sucks - it's like bourbon street without the rest of the French quarter (and without the strip clubs).

Sorry to hear you don't like it.

Not everybody wants to go to bourbon street or strip clubs. Also, not everyone wants to smell piss and beer and have drunk asses ruin their sunday afternoon.

Couple of huge Spurs fans in the house! What what!

Not surprised that neither of you knew who Terry actually hit in that game.

I like the riverwalk. It's a much better place to take your kids. Bourbon street isn't a fair comparison.

I grew up in New Orleans. Lived there for 18+ years.

Alejandro was the one that compared riverwalk to bourbon.

The same reason people hate Tebow that aren't UGA or FSU fans...the media hype bestowed upon him is literally suffocating. When it gets to a point where you can't even turn on ESPN without getting some mention of Lebron, regardless of if his team is even playing, it gets old. He's good, he's great actually, but damn I don't need to hear about it every time he takes a dump.

Same with Tebow. Great player, great person, but enough is (or was in this case) enough with the media coverage.

Only a front running fan (OP)would make that mistake.

Are you still mad at Juwan Howard for knocking Derek Anderson out of the 2001 playoffs or did you wait until after the 2003 championship to become a fan?

Probably don't know Finley played for the Mavs and Avery played for the Spurs either.

Real big fan

Edit: See people who think Houston is a rival for Dallas.

I blasted the OP for his egregious personnel error without reading the rest of the post to see he was congratulating the Mavs.

Sorry, OP!

Any mention of that dirty SOB Bowen gets a Mavs fan riled up. MF used to intentionally get under Dirk's feet when defending him in an effort to make him sprain his bad ankles.

Who we going to get mad at for Houston, a big crippled Chinaman?

My bad...I was thinking of the prodigal son Chris Paul and his crotch shot on Bowen in 2008.

Did you have money on the Heat...or are you always pissy?

Besides...Anderson wasn't the difference in that team being championship caliber or not.

Geez...yeah, I am so stupid. You know Avery was a Rocket? You know Van Exel was a Spur after being a Mav? Did you know Dominique Wilkins led San Antonio in scoring during the '97 season?

Awesome...I am too lazy to delete the rest...so here's to the Mavs getting their ring.
