Someone else can say that the cavs (or raptors) will have a tougher route to the conference finals than the Warriors or Spurs.

Except that that isn't even true.

Lets say the Spurs play the Mavs, OKC, and then GSW in the playoffs (as it's set right now). The combined W/L of those three teams is 149-65.
On the other side, Toronto is set to play Indiana, Atlanta, and Cleveland with a combined record of 131-84.

Or we can do look at GSW opponents and see that their combined record (as set right now) would be 139-75. And Cleveland's opponents record would be 128-86.

Safe to say that the Warriors and spurs are both terrified of their current first round matchups with Houston and Dallas, who is 2-8 over their last 10 games.

Nowhere have I said that the East is better the west. But the East took a huge step forward this year. The west took a huge step back. The fact that the east wins over 48% of its games against the west shows that things have evened out. Nothing that I have said is controversial. It's supported by facts.

Clearly as I laid it out for you in the post above, the road for GSW/SA is harder than it is for CLE/TOR.

Except for the fact that the path to the Finals is much tougher in the West than the East whether you're a top seed or a low seed. The West has three of the top four teams in the league (arguably the top 3).

Are the East's crappy teams better than the West's crappy teams? In general yes. However, the power still resides in the West as it has for over a decade.

The West is having a strange year where several teams are playing below their normal level. The Rockets, obviously, are the most glaring example. Memphis wasn't playing well even before all of their injuries. Pelicans are playing way below what they were expected to and are much worse than last season, the Suns became a dumpster fire, the Jazz didn't improve like they were expected to, the Clippers aren't quite as good as last year, etc.

Then again you can say the same in the East with the Bulls, Wizards, Hawks and Bucks.

It's been a strange year.

I said path to the CONFERENCE finals, not NBA finals. The first round of the east will be fun to watch. The first round of the West?
You may believe in teams like the clippers. I don't.

Who cares? I'm speaking about the whole conference. Besides, I already said this on the last page.

By crappy you mean seeds ranging from about 4 or 5 all the way down to about 13? So you mean at least half of the teams in the east are better than their western equivalent?

Ok. Over the last 10 years, the west has won 6 titles, while the east has won 4. If that is dominance, then so be it.

The idea that two of Boston, Milwaukee, Detroit, Indiana, even Charlotte finish .500 or better isn't exactly a bold take.

I was wrong...it will be 4/5.
