Walking out was telling my buddy that i thought the crowd might be lazy after last year. Yeah, no.

It probably feels different, more fun, less suffocating. I can tell the difference even on TV. Fans are cheering their butts off and into the games. Not a death March of tension like years past.

Other than Schwarbers huge error, Cubs pitching dominated the game. Arrieta should close it out tomorrow

I know. I was telling you what was going to happen. You don't bring in a lefty to walk Rizzo.

It's a tad douchey to scream "respect me" after a Texas leaguer that is normally a routine pop up

A little I guess. If that was his only RBI of the series, I'd agree. He's almost single handedly beaten the Nats so far, and every RBI he's had has come with 1st base open. I'd say there's a little lack of respect there. Of course, it could just be incompetence too.

C'mon Cubbies!!!!

A Cubs-Stros series would be my BR cable childhood.

Cablevision in BR started out in the 70s with a Houston station that broadcast the Astros games. They switched to WGN in the early 80s.and the Cubs games.

You always Leave Max In.
He’ll take himself out if he can’t go.

I think the Nats should never walk Rizzo again.
What bonehead post-game theatrics. Have some class, Rizzo. Kids watch baseball.

Yeah, I'm not feeling to good about Jake, he was pretty shaky last time he tried to go and Washington's left-heavy lineup may cause more issues for him. I'm looking for Horseteeth to be warming early and hoping the Cubbies can get some runs early themselves.

I believe because the dodgers swept the cubs game will be moving to 7pm correct?

I could be totally off but I swear I heard that on the radio yesterday.

Because of late day rain forecast, they decided not to move it back

I think they moved the Cubs game up to 4:30 to try to avoid projected evening rain but it now looks as though the rain is coming around 3.

Help me out here. I could care less who wins or loses this series. What was Anthony Rizxo yelling after that jammed flare and a base running error? And is Rizxo always acting like that? I don’t watch a lot of Cubs games but just saw the highlights.

Let's see... Bottom 8th inning, he singles in the go ahead run, crowd is deafening... idk, maybe he was a tad bit emotional?

But what he was getting at is the Gnats have pitched to him with RISP and 1st base open every time this series, and every time he has gotten an RBI out of it

"respect me" apparently he thought the Nats pitching to him in that situation was dis-respecting him.

from watching literally hundreds of Cub games since he's played I can say that is not at all in line with how he typically conducts himself, I found that totally out of character. I didn't care for it, especially since it was basically a pop-up. I can only guess it was the emotion and pressure of the moment and I'm still a big Rizzo fan but I didn't care for that at all.
