1st pitch changeup up in the zone. That’s a mistake for it to be up. Altuve trying to homer instead of just hit the ball. That a pitch he can bat up with ease, but he was out of control and never recognized the pitch. Pretty frustrating because he became arse the next 2 pitches.

A ground ball to the middle infielders would have worked too. He rarely comes through in those situations. Had trouble doing it all year. I would have bunted him just to tie the game and get some momentum back. Now it’s a huge swing the other way.

I would bunt as well, but can see aj’s line of thinking. Altuve coming up with Brantley following, one of those would get a hit and score 2. Gamble that didn’t pay off unfortunately
