Late in the 3rd quarter down by 3, 3rd and inches, he runs an option play with the tight end that went wide and had no chance to get the first.

Then he can't make up his mind about what he wants to do on 4th down, runs the FG team on late and gets a delay of game which forces him to punt even though he had 2 timeouts.

He also had a delay of game in the first half and burned two timeouts in the 4th quarter, one because they couldn't get the punt returner on the field in time and the other to avoid another delay penalty.

The crowd got so frustrated that they started counting down the play clock like at an NBA game.

Even though this gem may go unappreciated at this early hour, I just wanted you to know…you are seen.

Idk the context but teams do this commonly when they want to run punt safe, especially as the game gets closer to the end

Depending on what part of the field your punting from, it can be smarter to essentially run a defense to protect against a fake and ensure there’s no muff

LSU did the same thing in the second half this weekend and it was the best special teams play they had all day

No, I understand that. They completely forgot to send out the returner and had to burn another timeout.

I think in this one instance that v is on the Special Teams coaches, Not the HC.

Maybe, but with all of the penalties, poor clock management, etc., it’s trending that he’s in over his head and it’s cascading down to everyone else

His usage of Javonte Williams is criminal. Dude was averaging like 7 yards per touch yesterday, and near the goal line they do a run play with a tight end

In-Game decisions like this are one thing. These aren't good, but over time may get better.

But, if you haven't watched the post game press conference from last week, watch it. You'll understand immediately where Hackett is as a head coach. He's completely in over his head. He isn't nearly ready.

To be fair, Williams had two goal line fumbles the week before.

Pretty sure he had 1 as did Gordon.

He had one, and the DL was in his lap as soon as he got the ball on the handoff and it was knocked out. He could have had better ball security on that play, but at minimum it was getting stuffed for a big loss anyway because the OL got blown up

It’s wild how bad this dude is. He shouldn’t make it through the season. The fans are going to boo the shite out of him

That sequence was unbelievable. The crowd counting down the play clock was hilarious but it had to be exceedingly embarrassing for the players and staff getting trolled by your own fans like that.

2nd game of the year and the first home game and the crowd is already exposing clock management. Doesn't look good for the new guy.

That was the quickest flag on a delay of game I've ever seen. NFL refs are so inconsistent. Last year there was controversy in a Ravens game (I think) where there should have been delay of game because the refs didnt throw the flag a full 2 seconds after the play clock hit zero.
