7 top tens in 191 races.

With a top shelf team.

She sucked.

Yup

She sucked, but still did much better than any woman would competing against men in pretty much every sport ever.

No need for NASCAR for women. Just latch on to the next halfway decent looking chick, and overhype the hell outta her. That’s more profitable.

In a rain shortened race that was won on strategy. Decided by the crew chief btw.

Rain delayed, but not shortened. Qualifying was scrubbed due to rain, so they lined up based on points. Seepage in the track caused a delay in the start. Once started, they ran all 200 laps of the 300 mile race on the 1.5 mile Motegi track.

Danica did win because of fuel strategy. Helio was on the same strategy and ahead of her, but he slowed down because he knew he needed to save fuel. He admitted later that he didn’t realize Danica was passing him for the lead when she went by.

Alexander Rossi won Indy the same way a few years ago. He still got the trophy.

She had several years in IndyCar when she was always a legit contender on ovals.

Men have significantly better reflexes and hand eye coordination as well.

Neither of those things are needed in Nascar. You are not looking for second gear or checking you mirror to pass.

The real problem is NASCAR and racing is a good ole boys club. They don't teach women at an early age, so women cant learn to be good early.

You have no idea what it takes to drive a racecar.

How about we quit giving women crap and let them earn it. They claim to be as good or better than men.

There is athleticism to it
No, there isn’t. Auto racing is physical, but it isn’t athletic.

People need to stop confusing those two terms.

Digging a ditch is hard physical work, but it doesn’t take athleticism.
