O wouldn't go there

He was offered the Nicholls job at one point pre LSU and turned that down as well

Laird was obviously a terrible hire for them.

They went from being mediocre to the worst after he took over from Thomas

Watched the game last night to support some guys I know on the LC staff. I honestly expected to watch it for a quarter or maybe a half, but ended up getting into it and cheering for those guys. Seeing them celebrating when they took that final knee, I could not be happier for them and what they have been able to do at that program in a short time.

Are you aware of what’s been going on with their former WR trace williams?!

This game meant a little more to a few of those guys. Great win for them

This is apparently the second ever time an NAIA has beaten a D1. Any Northwestern fans on here? Demons have been in a very rough state for a while.

It's the 13th overall time a NAIA has beaten a D1

It's either the 1st or 2nd time a NAIA team has beaten a D1 that offers scholarships

No chance O would take that gig

He would make more money on Cameo than they would pay him and there’s not really a reasonable path back to the big leagues at NW State

The key sequence of the game was right before & after halftime

NSU led 27-14 & was in the red zone... fumbled & LCU recovered... NSU forced a punt... got back into the red zone... fumbled the ball into the end zone where LCU recovered... game goes to halftime

LCU comes out of halftime & scores on the opening possession... then gets a pick-6 on NSU's ensuing possession to go back in front & it was game on from there

That incident did de facto kill (no pun intended) a program on life support, but someone needs to officially put it out of it's misery.

I remember feeling actively bad for them, while still thoroughly enjoying the arse whooping, when they played SLU last season and had 25 total yards at the 2:30 mark in the 3rd quarter. They put up 90 yards against the back ups, but still didn't score.

Bostian isn't the issue. He's working with what the University will/won't give him for NIL.

The Demons should change their name. When I was in resort development I heard someone say that you will never pick a name for a community the will help the community be successful, but you have to make sure you never pick a name that would hurt the development. I think mascots are the same, and the Demons definitely hurts Northwestern State University.

Now would be a good time to change it to something related to what is happening with Space X. The astronauts, rockets, martians, aliens... anything except the Demons.

You're off by 50 miles one way. 151 miles from their campus will only get you to about Broussard or Jennings depending which way you drive. Signed someone who has made that drive from Turpin back to Acadiana and didn't realize almost all of the stations on 49 (at the time anyway) shut their pumps off at midnight.

No, I have not. Honestly had lost touch with them over the years until I ran into one of them who was on a recruiting trip last year and caught up to realize a whole group of the guys I know are on that staff.

There's no money there for them to give. They certainly need more money to try and be competitive in FCS. Their well behind the other teams in the Southland. But money isn't an issue when you lose to a NAIA team an hour south of you.

Who was the last coach to have a winning season at Northwestern? Peveto took a 7-5 team and proceeded to drive them straight into the ground going 0-11. Spoiler alert: Northwestern hasn’t had a winning season since.

It has shite to do with his record. There’s a reason he was let go by his alma mater. You really are an insufferable little douchebag troll. Gfy
