1 of the Biggest reason for it:

No State Income Tax


Chargers were rumored to be #2 on his list and he would of been hit with a big state tax on his income. I don't blame him

Suh is a huge risk on the field, and he just isn't as productive as Watt. Way overpaid. The Lions realized that he's not worth the drama. Good for them.

Not as much of a risk as Haynesworth. Suh doesn't voluntarily take plays off.

I can't believe California's taxes. He would have been taxed at 12.3% by the state if he signed with San Diego.
