Oh, really? Compliance at Ohio State knew about it and the police were called but Urban Meyer had the means to cover it up? Give me a fricking break.

If you believe this, you haven't been paying much attention to the news lately.

Smith's firing was cumulative. Trespassing, Drug stuff, DUI etc.

You missed the most important cumulative thing - the media airing his dirty laundry

It's certainly doesn't seem like Meyer was that upset with Smith at the time of the incident:

quote:

Despite being aware of domestic-violence allegations, Urban Meyer gave former wide receivers coach Zach Smith a positive review, leading to a raise, months after he became aware of an incident involved Smith’s now ex-wife. . . .

Meyer gave Smith a performance review of four out of five in the core values category for the period from June 2015 to June 2016. Smith’s salary increased to $340,000 from then until this year, a 55 percent bump.

The OP is just a huuuugeee reach to try to add more ‘juicy’ deets to this story

My opinion (I haven’t followed 100% of the transgressions, so I may be off):

-He sort of knew what was going on with smith

-He also knew the police had already been involved

-He felt like it wasn’t any of the media’s business because it involved a low level assistant’s personal life and the police were already on it

-All of the other little, pointless ‘facts’ that have come out are just ‘reaches’ to try to make this story a little more juicy

-We aren’t done with people digging into everything Urban Meyer-related

One misstep? Are you kidding? Have you not heard of all the crap that went on at Florida in the Meyer era?

With all due respect you are very naïve. Coaches, such as Urban Meyer, are very powerful in their community. It has been documented repeatedly, over the years, how college coaches have gotten the local police to cover things up for their players. It happens at every major school.

He is a piece of shite, and fits well with tOSU fan base.

We have been saying this while he was in Florida, and Gator tard fans stuck up for him.

This shite head recruited and allowed a Thug to prey on gainsville, and at least 2 people were killed by his hands, or by his command.

But shite heads and shite head fan bases deserve each other. tOSU and Urban are a marriage that was made for each other

I dealt with tOSU fans for over a month while helping a company start up their new operations in Cbus. They are with out a doubt, the worst fan base, on par with PSU fans.

I mean I'm surprised in a way, but one of OSU's top recruits' moms for 2019, who is a domestic violence victim, spoke up and completely supported Meyer. If I'm OSU I would be using that every opportunity I could.

LINK

I think this whole situation was handled poorly by OSU, and it allowed the media to have a field day with something that may not be entirely true. OSU's failure allowed it to just blow up

Yep. Once they had their shite together, they should've just given Urban an apology for having to deal with this shite and time served, then told the media to go frick themselves.
