24-50 guys at the same dealership? You go to any campus in the country right now and find 50 random students. How many of them could buy a car today without any "assistance"?
This is way more than fishy.
I am not gleeful about this in anyway. CFB needs OSU to be strong. But I have to look at the smoke.

Well, like I said, this looks fishy to potentially really bad.
But I hate it for you guys. Saturdays on your own campus is one of the great events of life IMO, and stuff like this sucks.
Heck, even Michigan needs OSU to be alive and relevant.

I'm willing to wait to see what happens with this investigation. It's been reported that although the title shows a $0 purchase price for Gibson's car it has also been reported that he has a loan on the car. If he has a loan on it dated back to the purchase then there had to be a purchase price to loan on.
I don't see no football (death penalty) but I do see severe sanctions and Tressel needs to go IMO.

5 years probation, Tressel should be gone, maybe vacated wins if they find a bunch of things with these cars or other new things. When people start digging, new things can easily be found.
I think the car thing isn't a huge issue. Compliance officers look over those car deals from what I know.

IMO this is what could get ugly. If he got the loan for the car, but the purchase price shows $0, then where did that money go?
Could get a lot deeper than just the car dealerships. Just my take though. It will be interesting to see how this gets handled to say the least.

i'm over this. non buckeye fans think it's the end of a university when they hear these facts thrown out. though nothing has been shown that this car thing involved any ncaa rules being broken.
