Yeah and it is offered to the general public.

ETA:
And since it is offered to the general public, is it a violation tat the dealer allows for certain players not to have that down payment.

Maybe its not...that ruler isn't specific enough for me.

so if he have a bad credit since he doesn't have a job and still got 0 down, you don't think that's an extra benefit??

Yes, but if it is offered to the general public?

Thats I think where we disagree.

ETA:

We disagree on the meaning of "eligible to the general public"

because he have to fill out a paper work in which they will ask for his occupation (full/half time student), don't you think it would be a red flag that a full/half time student would get 0 down?

It's the dealerships decision don't think the ncaa will can do anything about that. I could go in there tom and they could give ke the same deal he got

They can rule that selling cars to 50 athletes at reduced rates is extra benefits. The dealership can do whatever they want, you are correct. The NCAA can interpret what the players are getting any way they want. The burden will be for OSU to show that other students got the same deal over a period of yrs.

Not to mention the dealers were guest of players at the NC game and other games.

Really? Article says over the last several yrs, up to 50 athletes purchased cars through them. It also states they were guest of players at 7 football games, including the 07 NC game and 08 Fiesta Bowl.

So, they bought cars at alleged reduced rates, from people they gave tickets to. Nothing fishy abuot that.

You mean.. Ohio St said that. The same people who said they did no wrong and then 4 days later admitted they did, then 2 or 3 weeks later self imposed penalties on their own coach. Ok.

TN players had to pay back $$$ because they got VIP pass to a club even though it's offer to the general public so YES IT"S STILL A VIOLATION for OSU players

It's come our way in a big way the past decade. I want a scorched earth and every team to get as harsh as Bama got when they are caught now.
