If you have never been in Arrowhead you wont get it. Building codes and NFL codes wont allow for stadiums to have a comparable second deck rake. It compresses the layout and funnels sound. Thats why no other 80k seat open air stadium has been able to replicate the noise levels. The enclosed stadium for a SB is factor 1a but the noise capture is 1b. The roof is going to be a fixed structure to reduce construction and maintenance costs.
The Sea of Red tailgating as it exists now is going away because the plan is to have a "Ball Park Village" area built up around the stadium similar to what is around Busch Stadium in STL. It isnt going to be same at all.
Chiefs should have retained Arrowhead and taken the rest of the land around the stadium after the Royals demolish their stadium.
Chiefs could have made a football Mecca out there. They could have constructed a super large screen out in the parking lot area for overflow crowds at a reduced price vs buying a ticket to enter the stadium, could have also construct a nice fan experience area but those big KS dollars were just too sweet to pass up. I think a lot of people in the KC metro just thought it was a bit ridiculous for the taxpayers to essentially be footing the bill for a multibillionaire NFL owner.
I hope the Chiefs like their new digs in Kansass.
It will not surprise me if there isn't a noticeable lack of enthusiasm from the MO side of Chiefs Kingdom when the games end at Arrowhead. It's a different fan base on the MO side vs the KS side. There's a reason Arrowhead was also known as Camarohead in the doldrums of the 80's, because it was the middle and lower middle-class people in and around Independence MO and the KCMO metro that attended the games when there were only 30 thousand in the stands. It wasn't predominantly the Johnson County affluent folks heading out to Arrowhead in the 80's on a cold Sunday afternoon.
When the Chiefs move to Kansass there will be no Arrowhead mystique or the same tailgating vibe. Don't be surprised when a lot of the fans from the MO side are not be making the trip into KS.

You’re blaming and focusing Waddle when the OL, Nix, and the playcalling all suck right now
Sutton sucked too. The rest of that had not sucked as bad as Waddle had at that moment I made the comment. I think it was still 1st half. Yes, the whole team crapped the bed before it was over with.

Mahomes was the only starting QB this week that didn’t have a single completion over 10 air yards
Mahomes first game of 2026, made some plays, made some mistakes, didn't get hurt, Chiefs win by 21......I'll take it.
