OMG......classic Machida 'don't pay attention to me I'm just moving around a little bit, oh look my front leg pivots, see my hips, I like Elvis, do you like Elvis? and BOOM rear foot to your face'

Damn, just shut the lights off. Machida didn't even move. Vitor just fell back and that was it.

First fight of the night past the first round. That was phenomenal.

People don't realize, I think...how good these guys are. Looks like it would be easy to evade or parry that kick, but these frickers are just on another level. And Vitor is a legend, around for 22 yrs I think, in the UFC.

Vitor drops his gloves in the octagon.

he also repeated almost exactly the same thing. I wasnt sure if the feed had screwed up. sad to see a guy that was such a warrior end his career like he did the last few years.

LOL Machida has been looking for Bisping. I believe Bisping wants to retire though, and he should. It's amazing he's continued fighting with that fricked up eye. But if he were to fight Machida, it would be a big payday for him, for sure.

From the interviews this week it felt like he was just mailing in this last fight anyway. Not saying he wanted to lose, but his heart just no longer seemed in it. Legend!

I just checked, Vitor came to the UFC in 1997 at UFC 12.

I think he's the only fighter that connects the origins of the modern UFC, with a pretty good assortment of weight classes, rounds, etc, with the modern era.

Maybe one more fight in England

Yeah, I have a feeling Yoel gets it done against Whittaker as well. Yoel appears to have an anti-aging formula tucked away somewhere.

UFC 224
Kelleher v Lineker
and I had no idea he was from Brazil until this week. Not sure how that escaped me.
