How so?

Better players. Most teams now have soccer specific stadiums instead of playing in stadiums that are way too big and playing on fields with hashmarks for football or dirt for baseball. The atmosphere is better. They have added some great new teams. It's getting more tv coverage. It really is night and day.

Soccer can definitely be cheaper

It can be. But to play it at the competitive level, it's not. Football probably is the cheapest (to the player/parent) in that regard.

MLB does nothing to bring the younger generation fans. Their marketing department is horrible. They have no face of the league (even though they did name someone, I think) Young hip players like Puig and Trout are goldmines for young fans. The NBA is one of the best marketing minds in pro sports.

Yeah, when account for travel and all that, HS football is still the highest competitive level and school bear the cost for the most part. I see what you're saying.

Travel baseball, select soccer, AAU basketball. Travel costs can really get up there.

Also, two people don't own half of the league any more.

Baseball is your grandfather's sport. Old man sitting in the stands with his stat sheets and tracking strikes, balls, rbi's, etc...

im not surprised, baseball in America is a money sport. It is very hard to play baseball when you are poor. The MLB is trying to rectify that situation with charity programs.

so poor kids start playing soccer and then watching soccer/interested in the mls.

Damn. Sounds like the baseball games you go to suck.

I always have a great time at Dudy Noble and Turner Field.

I've been to quite a few games at Turner Field. They were usually pretty boring.

Maybe it's just me. Or the group of friends I go with. But I always have a great time.

I would have fun at an MLS game no doubt. I went to a few Chattanooga FC games when I was home in the summer a few years ago. Those were fun.

Unless you are a diehard fan of baseball or a specific team, baseball games are all pretty much the same boring thing. And absolutely no in game entertainment. Go to a NBA game and compare entertainment value. Not event close. NBA is my 3rd favorite league.
