I’ve been on the players side throughout this whole ordeal but them issuing this proposal is no less ridiculous than the one the owners put forth.
How so? Don't just say it. Explain the positions the owners took that were as ridiculous as the players attempting to, and a decreased revenue arena, increasing the number of games, and increasing guaranteed money including for those that choose not to play.

Asking for the dramatic pay cuts less than a week before their self designated deadline while sending in hilariously incomplete financial records is indeed ridiculous.
That request got an equally ridiculous and petty response from the MLBPA

The players submitted this knowing it would be a non-starter because it was something that was negotiated and decided already.
It was done to highlight the absurdity of the owners wanting to renegotiate something that was already decided.
per CBS Sports this morning
quote:
The March agreement says MLB and the MLBPA will "discuss in good faith the economic feasibility of playing games in the absence of spectators," and it is unlikely fans will be allowed into the ballpark this year. That clause allows MLB to ask the players to accept further pay reductions but it does not require a new agreement.
Max Scherzer, a high ranking MLBPA official, released a statement last week saying the players do not intend to discuss additional pay cuts following the sliding scale proposal.

That's what's so odd about the owners acting like playing games without spectators was unanticipated when they signed off on prorated contracts in the March agreement.

Outside of Brady, Rodgers, and Aaron Donald (STL era), I couldn't tell you whos who and that's a good thing. The NFL lost its soul a LOOOOOOOOOONG time ago.
