Why bring in Nestor. Why walk Betts. Why throw a first pitch fastball right down the pipe to Freddie. Terribly managed last 2 outs by the Yankees. Deserved everything they got.

The runners automatically advance on the Ohtani out, because he threw it from out of play; so first base was open.The walk to Betts was the right move, makes it a force at all bases and gets lefty/lefty for Cortes.

I thought the runner advanced to 2nd and 3rd after the foul pop out. The RF threw the ball back in play when he was out of play. The runners advance bc of that. It set up the force any any base.

2 things are true of Freddie. He’s UNBELIEVABLE with runners in scoring position. He hits for more power against Lefties than he does Righties
