Really don't think Gray ends up a Yankee?

If they were stuck on Frazier/Torres, there wouldn't be this many reports of talks progressing

Gray to the Yankees is “somewhere between likely to inevitable,” according to Sherman, who reports that the trade could happen Sunday. An executive who has been involved in Gray talks told Sherman that the Yankees are “holding firm” in what they’re willing to offer because they’re not convinced there are any other serious bidders. In case their negotiations with the A’s collapse, the Yankees are discussing starters with other teams as fallback options, per Sherman.

My guess is Mateo, Acevedo, and McKinney plus lower arms is the offer

I don't think they want to deal Florial because Florial is their replacement for Gardner

No he's not. They're not thinking that far ahead.

That's two years, not that far ahead. He could be up for a cup of tea next September if he stays hot. I do think he is the sticking point because it seems the Yanks are high on his potential

Plus Yanks are about to have a lot of money off the books soon, right? Bound to have some big FA acquisitions

Oakland really wants a future CF in return. I think that's why Houston never got too far in negotiations

CC and Headley come off, I think ARod is next year... New CBA could impact things though
Think McCann as well

Tons of interest in Wilson, as he's maybe the top SP readily available. So the high ask makes sense. Still would guess he's moved by Mon.

this is such a ridiculous market that literally every single potential trade asset has a ridiculous high price to it. hell, apparently the marlins are asking for a gray package for straily

And I suspect the Astros, Dodgers, Yankees and Nats all have reasonable offers out there right now for several guys. This greed will turn to realism for many GMs selling Monday morning if the buyers don't crack.

Well prospects have become!e so valuable that it has become hard to move. For every Randy Johnson to the Astros there is a Might to Detroit. Everyone is scares of getting screwed. Of course I believe unless you are close it is better to stand pat.
Teams like the Red Sox, Astros, Indians, Cubs, Nationals, and Dodgers are he ones that should make a big move.

Still feel like we have heard very little regarding Brad Hand

Can't imagine his value gets much higher. I know Preller was reportedly asking way too much a week or 2 ago but still...for a team in the Padres position you gotta sell high

They'll go after Harper, yes. If they don't get Harper, they'll eventually try to trade for Trout.

Frazier, Judge, and Fowler are all outfielders, too.

I think Judge will eventually move to 1st base, though. Either way, the Yankees aren't going to worry about dealing Florial.

Never underestimate the stupidity of AJ Preller. Remember when he held on to everybody in 2015. Upton, Kimbrel etc.

He's from Weatherford Texas and was aTm signee. He pitched tonight, albeit one hitter.
