White Sox and Red Sox discussing Middlebrooks for Peavy, be the third trade in a year between two clubs.

8:58pm: Major League Baseball still needs to process the paperwork and the exchange of cash in the deal, tweets Carrie Muskat of MLB.com. Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the deal isn't likely to happen tonight, as it's still pending Bud Selig's approval. The Cubs, according to Heyman, will pay more than half of the remaining money on Soriano's contract.

Haven't really kept up with the Norris sweepstakes. What are the Stros looking for?

Reports are 2 organizational top prospects. The last few years we've gone for quantity to rebuild the depth of the minors. This year we're likely looking for quality.

Way way too high for a back end starter.

Red Sox already laughed and said no thanks, Braves will probably do the same.

Santana > Peavy > Norris

I really do not want Bud Norris tbh. If we can't get Peavy at a decent price, I would be more than fine with just adding a couple arms to the pen.

The Braves really only have 6 prospects that are worth anything as of now.

Bethancourt and Gilmartin for Norris would be the only possible match I could see, although Gilmartin is hurt right now and I don't think the Braves want to trade Bethancourt.

Doesn't look like much chance of Norris becoming a Brave if that's what Luhnow wants.

Why wouldn't they let Bethancourt go? They have their catcher of the future, on the big team. If not Gattis going forward, then they need to find a way to eat some of BJs salary and dump him and play Gattis everyday in left, Heyward in center, and Justin in right.
