If this desperate franchise doesn't win the thing this year, I'm never going to stop trolling. They got the top hitter on the FA market, they got the top pitcher on the FA market, they got the top pitcher on the trade block. They've got MVPs in Freeman and Mookie.

They've literally got every advantage anyone could have. Have mercy if they choke again.

Obviously a minor move but I don’t understand why Baltimore is adding multiple outfielders

Assuming that’s everything, overall an underwhelming deadline. The new wildcard format has killed the deadline

Meh. A rich kid with every advantage possible and still can't win.

What a disaster for the shite Sox.

I hate this organization right now. They really can't do anything right.

Incidentally, my boss just offered me his tickets for tomorrow. I said no thanks.

At least you'd have something to show for yourselves.

The Dodgers are sending prospects Thayron Liranzo and Trey Sweeney to the Tigers for Jack Flaherty.

That's it? Wow, great trade for the Dodgers.

Liranzo is a future major leaguer, but we've got Will Smith in his prime behind the plate and Dalton Rushing ahead of him in the minors. Scouts are divided on whether Liranzo or Diego Cartaya is the better prospect, but Liranzo was never going to play for the Dodgers. And Sweeney is a fringe prospect. He's slightly sub-MLB average defensively at SS and he doesn't have the pop in his bat to play 3B. His ceiling is a decent MLB utility infielder.

Winning the WS isn't about having the best players, its about getting hot at the right time.....or in the Astros case, cheating.
