Nice, the wild card race in both leagues is setting up to be a good one.

Nationals got a nice little return for Lane Thomas.

Can’t believe there hasn’t been a move yet today
Astros prob completely fricked the buyers market
Should be a wild last 5 hours with sellers waiting for someone to up the offer

And Stowers too.
Sheesh, the O’s have the depth to pull this off. Rogers has a few more years of control but this market is wild

Gonna miss Leiter, he was very tough on lefties, at times seemed unhittable.

If I was a wild card team with slim playoff hopes I would absolutely quickly change my plans and become a seller
With these prices you could restock your farm so quickly and cut years off any type of rebuild
Cubs come to mind. Maybe Giants too?

I mean hell, even teams like the Royals, Rangers, Red Sox or even Braves. Yeah you’re in a playoff spot or not far out, but do you think even if they made the playoffs they are built for a deep run? If you punted this season and sold guys that aren’t considered long term pieces for the team, you could immediately boost your chances of having a World Series type roster in the next few seasons. Yeah Braves are a little different considering they’ll still be World Series contenders in the next few years with everyone healthy…I’m just kinda thinking out loud
Regardless, any team that’s out of playoff contention right now are crazy if they aren’t selling anyone that isn’t a part of their long term plans

If I’m the Rangers I’m absolutely dealing a starter. I believe they have guys coming back who can backfill and they’ve (understandably) gutted a lot of their upper level depth winning a WS and putting that roster together.
Someone like Heaney, who in my eyes is very similar to Kikuchi, would probably fetch a nice package

Flaherty is going to require your top 10 prospects plus 40% of the acquiring reams revenues for the next 14 years.
