Looks like the dodgers are going to do nothing

Doesn't seem like the Astros are gonna do anything and I think I'm fine with that

@ctrent: at this point, I’d be surprised to see Jay Bruce or Zack Cozart tomorrow

Mariners and the Reds had conversationsome about Cozart, doubt it leads to anything.

Likely the Rangers are doing the same nothing. With Sale's meltdown and Lucroy essentially telling teams he won't do anything but be the starting catcher--emphasis on starting--maybe those types wouldn't fit well in Arlington. (They definitely wouldn't do well with the Cubs or Giants)

Lucroy's issue is an extension and his club option. Texas probably has more money to spend than Cleveland on that front. No team is going to give up the package Milwaukee is asking for so Lucroy can primarily be a 1B or DH. Would be idiotic

Mariners set to acquire Cozart.

Cozart to Mariners is almost done. Reds will receive 3 prospects.

I really like Cozart(I'm a Reds fan). Great defense and his offense has gone to another level this year. I'd hate to see him go.

Says all we need to know about this year's deadline that we are actually dedicating time to talk about a Zack cozart trade

Not sure if I would want to get rid of Urias if I were the Dodgers.

cashman has owned this deadline.
trading 2 important relief guys, but still relief guys. he traded them first for a reason. and got warren/clippard back to kind of ease the blow. the yankees still have the exact same team through the first 7 innings of the game.
if the yankees would have taken 2/3 from the rays, they’d be 54-50, have a similar team, and Warren/Clippard to ease the blow of losing Miller and Chapman. they could have added a bunch of good prospects for the future, become a top 5 farm system, and STILL go for the wildcard this year.
obviously now that they got swept by the rays, they should trade beltran, pineda, etc. just pointing out that i think cashman was very strategic about all this

Yeah the Yankees have done very well

It doesn't get crazier than this

I like cozart but I don't really get it. Not going anywhere this year and Marte is solid.
