Which prospects are the Dodgers offering in their package for Machado?

If that's the case, it seems like the Orioles are leaking this info to get a better package from the Phillies or another team.

No doubt. Last night it was the Phillies. Today it’s the Dodgers. Tomorrow, it’ll be the Marlins

I think it would be dumb to exclude Smith with how much control Barnes has left plus also having Ruiz. Machado makes a ton of sense at a rental price for LA, and if Will Smith is the centerpiece of the deal to get him with a couple other lower level guys that is extremely reasonable. Same thing with Dustin May.

The Orioles are “going through the medicals/paperwork” in an effort to finalize an agreement with an unknown team, per ESPN.com’s Buster Olney (Twitter link). While the “structure of a deal [is] in place,” Olney also stresses that “this in [sic] not finished yet.” Despite the cautionary language, it’s obviously quite notable that the Baltimore organization has reached this point with another club. While numerous past arrangements have blown up at this stage — the O’s, especially, are notorious for finding health concerns — the exchange of medical information represents a significant step that would not take place without a clear path to a completed transaction.

Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun had tweeted this morning that a deal was likely to be wrapped up by the end of the All-Star break. But it seems talks may be rather more advanced than that. It’d be quite a surprise, needless to say, if anything is finalized before Machado appears in his O’s uniform in today’s All-Star Game. But it now seems we’ll watch a fascinating trade situation unfold on a major stage for the game.

The O’s and medicals, watch out!

Those are just names theyve already apparently said no to. Plus smith. Who the front office is supposed to be super high on.

Now, them saying no when Baltimore asked for those names could have been posturing

Yeah who knows what is true. Assuming you’re talking Will Smith and Dustin May I just don’t think those are guys good enough to draw the line on for a player of Machado’s caliber, even if he’s a rental.

This Medina guy has pretty much the same exact numbers as Eduardo Rodriguez who the O's gave up for a rental reliever four years ago. Basically a rental reliever equals Machado. I hate this POS organization so much.

I don’t think the media knows who exactly is off limits. Smith and May do not strike me as those guys, but I could be wrong. Things will change as bids are increased. Other teams will improve their offers.

Does Turner move to 2B or 1B if he resigns?

If the Dodgers win the World Series with Machado playing a major role, I would say the price would be well worth it no matter what Diaz ends up doing in his career.
