I really can’t understand why the Nats are hellbent on selling Abram’s. They are a game out of the WC.

The Mead for Early trade made sense for them, now go get some bullpen arms. I’m not a Nats fan but I hate when orgs piss on their fans by not trying to capitalize on a winning season. Especially with how awful they have been in recent years

They have another stud SS coming up. I guess they think they can maximize Abram’s value before the lockout

I agree. Abrams is also 25 and awesome. DC is hardly some small market. They should be looking at extending guys like him (and Wood) and continuing to build off this year.

this, if they can get a haul and have his replacement, why not cash in.

Especially with the uncertainty of next season. Let someone else assume that risk.
