the braves objectively have had it worse. point is other teams also have had really bad potentially season ending injury issues as well

Ohtani does not play defense, and stealing bases has become exponentially easier. Ohtani has more protection in the lineup. But Judge is better in every statistical category except stealing bases. Judge has not been caught stealing. I still expect Judge to get 60.

Mets come back late against Toronto while Atlanta loses 1-0 against Cincy so Mets are back up a game

Yankees now up a game and a half on Baltimore

Alright folks, 2 weeks from today the regular season will be OVER

While there is still time for someone to collapse, it seems that the 6 division winners are pretty set. NYY have built a 3 game lead over Baltimore in the AL East and now have an 87% chance to win the division per fangraphs. The next closest divisions are NL West (LA has 3.5 game lead), AL Central (Cleveland has 4 game lead), and AL West (Houston has 4.5 game lead)

The Wild Card is where things will be fun to watch down the stretch. All 4 NL teams in the hunt have basically been playing .500 baseball over their last 10 games so it's pretty much exactly where we were at when I started this thread. Braves and Mets are tied for the final spot. Those 2 teams have a 3 game series in Atlanta next week. Quick glance shows Atlanta has an easier schedule since NYM has a 4 game series against Philly this weekend.

AL Wild Card has become pretty interesting as Minnesota has somewhat shite the bed the last week or so and has given life to Detroit and Seattle who both sit 2.5 games back

Here is the playoff odds for each league...

Mets win in extras while Braves lose to LA so Mets now up a game

Detroit wins and is now just 1.5 games back of Minnesota after Cleveland beat the twins. Seattle now only 2 back of Minnesota

Mets win, Braves lose. NYM now tied with Arizona in the standings with Atlanta 2 games back

Minnesota and Detroit both win so Twins still hold a 1.5 game lead over them. Seattle now 3 games out of a wildcard spot after getting curb stomped by the Yankees
