Yah that's the airport code which seems to be the new trend rather than just abbreviating the city name

Haven't won a series against the AL East yet either. 80 games left and I think 49 of them are against AL East teams so they are going to have to get healthy and turn that around quickly if they are going to stay in the WC race. Four starters in the rotation are on the IL right now and that doesn't even include Sale or Paxton.

Counting on those two is fallacy, neither has really pitched in what seems like 3 years

I agree on Paxton just because I don't really have any idea what to expect from him. Disagree on Sale though. He's not going to be 2017 Chris Sale, but he's absolutely a guy to count on for the rotation imo. Just has to get and stay healthy.

My point was 80% of the rotation is on the IL right now - Eovaldi, Wacha, Whitlock and Hill. We have Pivetta and the Worcester rotation right now.

Sounds like Sale may be back to start on Tuesday and Whitlock isn't too far behind him, but Whitlock is going back to the BP to be a multi-inning reliever which is where he should have been all along anyway imo.

Sounds like Wacha will be ready right away coming out of the AS break. Hill might be as well or should at least be ready before the end of the month if there aren't any setbacks.

Eovaldi has his first rehab start tomorrow, so assuming everything goes well he should be back very soon.

Eovaldi
Pivetta
Sale
Wacha
Winckowski/Hill

I'd rather keep Winck in the rotation and move Hill to the pen. He can take Sawamura's place as far as I am concerned.

Sale hasn't pitched in the bigs since August 13, 2019, counting on him is fallacy.. it isn't like he just missed a year the dude is almost 3 years since his last pitch

He started nine games last year.

My bad, should have checked baseball reference or something, really thought he hadn't started in forever

Yeah, I know what you mean though. 42 2/3 total innings at the MLB level for the last 2+ seasons isn't much. It's fair to be skeptical, especially with his recent injury history. If he can stay healthy and is able to make 15ish starts for the rest of the season he will make our rotation quite a bit better imo.

If he could add 15-20 starts including playoffs he will be a godsend for the Red Sox. If Paxton (who I wish no ill will) at least does 10 it will be fantastic

Try to enjoy yourself and not worry about the surging Orioles.
