Talking to people around the league about the prospects the Mets received in their sell off. Luisangel Acuna and Drew Gilbert seen as high level prospects, but the ones most are excited about are actually Ryan Clifford and Marco Vargas. Clifford specifically seen as a HUGE get.

This isn’t to say they are better than Gilbert and Acuna, just more people who believe they are much better than what the prospect lists show.

He would have been even faster if he wasn’t a cheater. Or maybe not.

He’s back and I’m glad to see it. I was at the game where he sprained his wrist.

Cubs have scored 20 runs on the Reds

Currently 2 out, bottom 7 and the Cubs just dropped 14 more. The last two runs scored on errors.

There will be a lot of home runs hit in Wrigley this weekend.

Scherzer makes his first start today.

I know it’s against the White Sox but pitching has been very good in the first two games. Both starters had 11Ks each game. Overall pitching has 28K, 1BB, and given up only one run. Hopefully that trend continues. Mid/late July was bad for Texas. Can’t afford too many more bad games with Houston playing good and a half game out.

I guess FOX is showing the World Cup on Saturday night, so now we get Thursday night games.
