Red Sox DFA catcher Blake Swihart. Bodies starting to hit the floor in Beantown.

Some rebuilding club should jump all over Swihart and give him some regular run

Yep. Almost certainly will be on some AL rebuilding team in a minute.

On swihart I saw this

quote:

It was telling that Swihart had not caught Sale this year. Only Vazquez. Career splits for Sale: w/ Leon catching: 319.1 IP 2.42 ERA .193 BAA 7.76 SO/walk ratio w/ Vazquez: 66 IP. 4.50 ERA .235 BAA. 3.79 SO/walk ratio

Also not of coincidence the corresponding move was to call up Leon today

Leon is solid defensively but he’s not going to make Sale throw harder

Yeah, Sox think it's mechanics and not injury for Sale. We'll see tonight.

I haven’t been able to stop laughing at this throw by Tyler O’Neil all day

As a Red Sox fan, Swihart's development was botched from day 1. I fully expect him to become at least a decent to solid everyday player somewhere if they let him play consistently.

Yanks strike first and take 1-0 lead over Boston thanks to the best signing of the offseason DJ LeMahieu

Sale has been hitting 97 though for those who have been interested in his decreased velocity

Sale starting to suck. 3-0 NYY

Meanwhile Phillies scored 8 runs in the 1st off Steven Matz before he was pulled without recording an out

Would really love Texas to drop Mathis for him, but I think we like Mathis' catching ability with our shitty rotation.

My team had an era of like 7.50 last week it’s been so brutal

Part of that is on me for buying low on Yu Darvish thinking he had a comeback in him

Red Sox in trouble with that pitching.

Craig Kimbrel looking more and more attractive

He's only a solution if they can get to the 9th inning with a lead. Their whole staff is disaster.
