Think a MLB team in shreveport would be successful? Guy at work is a huge Astros fan and said La should try to get a team in Shreveport. Draw fans from texas, oklahoma, Arkansas and Miss.

to have a MLB team, a metro area has to have 2mil+ in population, Shreveport misses that by about 1.7 million.

there would have to be maybe 10% of the city at the games. plus there is a team in Dallas already and that would take away attendance too.

Guy at work is a huge Astros fan and was sayin Louisiana should try to get a MLB team. I said it wouldnt work, Louisiana is to much of a football state.

He said Shreveport bc it would be a better location than NO. Could get a better fan base in Shreveport from Dallas, Oklahoma, ark, and Miss

Why would you say Shreveport? If any city would get an MLB team it would be New Orleans or maybe Baton Rouge, but they still wouldn't do it.
