Are you stupid?
Double standards exist across many words.
Try this experiment - call your friend a bitch. Record his reaction.
Call your SO a bitch. Record her reaction.

Why is calling a man a "bitch" not just as bad as calling a white man the n-word? Doesn't make sense that one would lead to a suspension and the other wouldn't.

Do they know each other? A bunch of black guys I worked with at bayou segnette state park would call me “my n.....” all the time when I was a teenager...always in an affectionate manner. We’d play ball, hang out in the shop, sometimes I’d give a few a ride to work.
I never said it back because I always thought it may be a stupid idea but some of the other white/Latino guys who worked maintenance and had grown up with them would say it back without ever an incident. Always seemed more of a cultural/camaraderie thing more than a racial thing...at least in the mid 90s on the New Orleans westbank.

It certainly wasn’t meant as a term of endearment .. he meant it in a racist/derogatory way
You can’t put a / between racist and derogatory like it isn’t obvious af which one it was
He was basically calling him a bitch. So again, why would you claim the guy is a racist for this?

Because MLB would rather a zero tolerance policy than moderate it on a case by case basis, which is understandable IMO.

Dumbest post of the day? Week? Month? Dare I say, year?

Whoever wrote that definitely celebrates 4/20

He's talking about the unwritten rules of baseball and how stupid and yet necessary they are... Saying the N-word isn't as bad as automatically plunking someone for being great

It's not so bad if you read it in Morgan Freeman's voice.
