The big question is will they fail so badly that Washington is fired mid-season (thus ending the tenure of the beloved Coke Kitty)?

Why can't we just do that now, and succeed expectations in the near future?

Why is so many people high on the Blue Jays? Seems like they are close to what the Marlins were last year.

WTF 2012 Jays>>>>>> 2012 Marlins and now they added all the Marlins best players(hold Stanton), a Cy Young winner and an all star outfielder. They are absolutely loaded.

I disagree. Josh Johnson's arm is falling off, Reyes isn't what he used to be, & Buerle isn't very good. The Jays will be a good team with Lawrie, Bautista, and E5 but I think they are being overrated right now. Still behind Rays and Yanks at the moment.

Their rotation goes 5 deep. Josh Johnson and Dickey are Cy young caliber guys. Morrow is your #3 and will K 200 guys. Buerhle and Romero are your 4/5 and they are more than solid. Bullpen is also deep as hell and Sergio santos is coming back; he has lights out stuff

Their lineup is sick too. Reyes and Bonafacio will set the table, Bautista and Encarnacion are premier power hitters, Brett Lawrie is one of the young stars of the game, melky was great as a roider but still should be an adequate hitter. Guys like Lind, Rasmus, and Arencebia are your worst hitters and all could hit 25 hr.

If anything, they are built like the Nats as far as a team that will come out of nowhere. Except they are better.

Johnson is a year past the shoulder inflammation and made every start last year. He has proven to have dominant stuff. He led the league in era and was 5th in cy young voting not too long ago. He's only 28. His walks were up and Ks were down last season but I expect him to rebound. He has a great lineup around him and he's not pitching in SFla anymore.

I agree that he can be dominant and could rebound and have a great season. I just think his Cy Young type days are passed. We shall see though!

Peak JJ is as good as anyone in the show. Just impossible to know if we ever see that guy again.

Even if JJ pitches like last season he will still be a solid option if that offense produces.

Ricky Romero has gotten cy young votes before.. shite, he finds his 2011 groove and he could easily be the ace.

Same goes for morrow if he stays healthy. His k/9 is off the charts
