Naylor can tie it next inning if everyone gets on ahead of him.

so glad we locked up Jose for a long term contract, I know Judge is going to run away with the MVP but Jose should be a close second. He is huge for the Guardians and he is locked up for many years.

edit: I'll keep watching but I think it's done. Even if Naylor homers we don't have the bats at the bottom to start a rally.

They should both be behind Ohtani, but Judge is going to win. Jose will finish 4th behind Yordan.

I thought for a minute that Costas was doing the broadcast solo, and I had to wait several minutes to confirm whether or not it was true before hearing Ron Darling get three words in.

All I got to say about the MVP situation is if the award is who is the most valuable to their team, then I think Jose has a strong argument. Without Jose the Guardians likely don't win the division, likely play sub .500 baseball.

The Yankees without Judge likely still make the playoffs.

IF it's the best player in baseball then it's obviously judge.

Switching to WFAN to hear the legend John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman call the bottom of the 8th and top of the 9th

Without Ohtani the Angels might have the first pick.

So I guess they might actually be better off without him.

Nah, if that's the case then it's Ohtani by a mile.

I guess in my mind, a player who helped a team make the playoffs, who wouldn't be there without him, is better than a player who helped them be a middle of the road team.

BTW I didn't say Jose should win it, just that he would have a strong argument if it's who was the best at helping their team, AKA the most valuable player.
