Edit: why not prime time? It’s the only game on tomorrow.

The winner has to play the Astros in Houston the next day.

The game should be at Noon, but television rules. 4:07 is the compromise.

Bieber is not pitching tomorrow. Unlike Cole he hasn't secured the bag and Tito said he wouldn't risk injury.

I am forgetting that Game 2 was delayed until Friday so Cortes and Bieber would both still be on short rest.

I would guess Tito won't use Bieber because of his injury last year.

I would guess Yankees still start Taillon but have Cortes available and will let him give them some length if necessary despite being on short rest.

Not unreasonable, imo.

I liked the four team in each league format best. We would have gotten Dodgers-Mets; Cardinals-Braves in the NLDS. Astros-Jays and Guards-Yanks in the AL. Manfred’s reign of terror strikes again.

But every league has to keep expanding the playoffs now. By 2048, every team will make the playoffs. All these starving billionaire owners and millionaire players will go hungry if the playoffs aren't expanded and the jerseys aren't covered in fricking ads next year.

Japanese two-way star Shohei Ohtani arrived home on Tuesday and was critical of his Los Angeles Angels team missing the MLB playoffs again.

"I have a rather negative impression of this season," he said.

Ohtani can become a free agent after next season.

His trade return next year will be impressive.

Surely they won't trade him to the Dodgers. Who else can pay the prospect price?

I think plenty of teams have what it takes, the question is who will. I don’t see him getting what Soto got with only one year left

Most likely the Angels will hold him until the deadline and hope they’re competitive and can convince him to stay

They would be smart to, but no one ever credited Angels leadership with doing smart things.

Moreno is also trying to sell. I would think having Ohtani would be attractive to a new owner to decide to either keep him or trade him under their own terms.

If he’s made his mind up that he’s gone you want the outgoing ownership group being the one to get rid of him for sure

Is this real? WTF

The Guardians hotel was overbooked last night and no hotel in New York could (or would) accommodate the whole team, so they had to split up across the city.
