Martin has above average velocity. Not Cashner hard, but he’s left handed and able to hit the mid 90s. Besides Cashner’s peripherals suggest his in for a big regression. Not someone you want to invest heavily in.

If I were the Dodgers, I’d make a play for Stanton. Take advantage of Pederson’s WS performance and package him along with Buehler and some pieces to get it done. I’d say that would be a pretty enticing package.

Sigh. I? remember when Texas and Miami were ‘close’ to a trade including Stanton.

Only would have costed us Profar, Perez, And Olt.

Go figure all three pretty much busted. We fell way to in love with our prospects.

Gammons is claiming Cardinals are in for Stanton, and are asking Marlins to eat a little of the cash, and they will throw in one of their top young pitchers.

A little, but when all your top prospects are pitchers you can afford to trade one or two of them for a god tier bat right? You aren't winning shite these days without a top tier middle of the order bat and there isn't one coming in the system (he died).

Or you give JD Martinez 200m but I'd rather trade for Stanton than do that.

Martinez won't sniff 200m....

I'm thinking with his age 4/5 year deal at 22m

More of a roundabout figure but yeah I could see him getting around 150.

I'd still rather trade Reyes or Weaver for Stanton and cash.

No way, Mart5inez will get at least 5/125

He's the Best out there on the market for Bats, and had a big season. And he's not 33 or older, like the big bats were last year.

He's getting 25mil or more.

That's what we're saying. His prediction is 6/150 to Boston from mlbtr.

Depends on the teams, most teams will offer 20 but it just takes one idiot team. Look at Pujols, the Cards offered 210m and until the Angels got stupid he was heading back
