Would assume there's an option for next year but he's said previous winters he will only sign 1 year deals going forward

Interesting to see if this injury changed his lond

What’s the LA rotation if the season started today?

Yamamoto
Miller
Glasnow
Paxton
Sheehan?

I think that's a good guess. Might have Glasnow technically be the "#2" but that's probably the 5

By August it will probably be

Buehler
Kershaw
Yamamoto
Glasnow
Miller/May

Obviously glasnow will be in the rotation

Might see May or Miller get converted to a fire put outer in the postseason a la Urias in 2020

Yeah. It could be kind of dicey for them early on or if some rehab takes longer than expected. Glasnow for instance has never thrown more than 120 innings in a season and that was last year. He’s 30. There’s a huge health caveat with pitching for all teams but I think it’s even larger with the Dodgers considering how many are currently hurt and the history of the group they’ve assembled

Definitely hoping that we get enough health out of a pool of guys who have bad track records

That's been Freidmans MO from day one. Get a bunch of talented by injury prone guys and count on having enough health

Can kill you like last year. We will see how it goes

Yeah, which is why the 5 years is very risky and questionable. Let's say Glasnow for the first time in his big league existence does not get injured and miss time - the trendy analytical notion is that if a pitcher throws more than 30 innings more than he ever has before it's a no-no. Should not be done.

So if Glasnow stays healthy this year and reaches 150 innings at the end of August will they shut him down? Will he be ineffective if he continues to pitch past that number? Will they sit him-down mid-season to limit his innngs so that he could possibly be available for the playoffs?

And again the staying healty is a BIG if for him.

Pictures of what the new White Sox stadium would look like.

So a Battery-like development.

The Braves have really laid the blueprint of modern stadium development.

Looks nice but Chicago only needs one team

They've been there well over a century. And couldn't the same thing be said about NY and LA? Yet both have multiple teams.

No? The Mets and Angels get enough support to stand on their own

Chicago is big enough to support both.

Sure. I think the White Sox have some lean attendance years sometimes but generally the three cities with two teams tend to support them all enough to justify their existence

Reinsdorf won't be around forever. Maybe the next owner isn't as tight as him.

Some can, some shouldn't. I can go back and forth on the Angels. Mets obviously are a great franchise. Sox have small support. Its the truth.

They have been supported for over a century despite rarely being competitive. Under better ownership and a front office, attendance would correspond accordingly.

Likely some split between the team, state, city, and a hotel tax from what little I could find.
