Bour and Thames are having fantastic seasons at the most loaded position. At least the NL gets to pick any player because of the DH while the AL has to select someone from the DH position

Bummed no Kemp or BP. At least the ML hits leader is in.

I know every team has to have a player but Darvish is NOT All-Star caliber this year. I think Elvis Andrus is way more deserving.

5th lowest ERA in the AL 3rd most strikeouts is not AS worthy?

Is Smoak really the best first baseman in the American League so far this year?

Yes. Smoak is having a great season. Also, the first basemen in the American League is significantly weaker than the NL.

Easily. He's had a fantastic year. Nevertheless, the 1B position in the AL is weak, even with decent years from Logan Morrison and Yonder Alonso.

Alonso will be the A's rep... Wonder if Hosmer will make it or will they give it to Abreu. Morrison may get bumped

Hope not. Hosmer doesn't deserve it, and to me he's the most overrated player in baseball.

Didn't realize his numbers were that good honestly, but I think they got the 1B position correct in the AL.

I agree Smoak deserves it, just curious how they fill it out.
As I said Alonso makes it as the A's rep, will they skip Morrison and Hosmer for Abreu? If Garcia makes it as a reserve then Morrison grabs the 3rd 1B position I think.

He's hit .191/.320/.405 since May 1. That's not very good

Honestly I assumed Logan Morrison was on the team already, but it's just Smoak and Alonso so I was wrong there. Morrison is in the Final vote along with Andrus, Bogaerts, Didi, and Moustakas, so I guess that means Hosmer and Abreu won't get in unless there's an injury or someone else backs out for some reason.
