That's how all poker shows "read" the cards. The cards are all chipped and an RFID reader transmits that identifying information so the cards can be displayed.

If he had a portable reader, he'd see the cards like the viewer does

Unless we are dealing with idiots, those chips are secure, and they are distance limited. This would be almost impossible to do.

The live RFID feed can be viewed from anywhere via Windows Media Player/URL.

What is showing on the phone? Someone texting his opponents' hands?

If he has off-table help and that off-table help is reading the cards, my guess would be that this guy is not getting info on his opponents cards on his phone but info on how to bet.

Simple short text messages from his off-table partner like “call”, “check”, “fold”, “raise small”, “raise big”, “all-in” would be all he needed.

The video above breaks down the RFID hacking and how easy it is to do if you know the IP address of the server that’s hosting the feed for the stream. It would show up as a bright blue screen with all the players’ hole cards.

Then last night someone sent Joe Ingram a video where Postle pulled his phone out and you can see the bright blue screen clear as day. They’ve also identified the exact moment the guy stopped playing with his phone on the rail and put it on his lap.

If you watch, it’s almost like he got a text message saying ‘ok we’re tapped in’ or something to that effect, he responds, then sticks the phone between his legs where it stays the entire time he’s in god mode.

The phone thing is crazy. If I so much as look at my phone, they are asking me to leave and call the pit boss over. But on this Stones Poker, "yea, sure, phones no problem."

Yep saw one hand where he had AK. Flop come K 9 2 or something. Player bets and he folds. Oponent flopped trips but no one is folding AK when they hit the king and garbage out there ......the bet wasn't even that much

Actually flop was K 8 2, player at table had 8,8 No way do you fold A K as quickly as he did unless he knew that. No fukin Way,

Seems like if you're smart enough to come up with this cheating method, you'd be smart enough to take your lumps every so often to keep suspicion down.

Yea. Most casinos I have been in are not that hardcore about phones. Just only want you using them in between hands. If I had it in my lap they would never know.

If you’re cheating and win every time you really deserve to be caught. Lose sometimes on purpose. That’s Cheating 101

Off topic, but what do college professors do to prevent kids from taking pictures of test questions with their phones, watches, etc.

freddie deeb, ferguson, mike the mouth and several others were cheating on fulltilt and the other poker site(black and yellow were their colors)

there is a ton of cheating and fake final tables. guys make deals when it gets down to 5,6,etc; so they play final tables that are fake, everyone is getting their money.

Usually people who play have their smart phones on the rail or in their pockets. People rarely have them in their lap.

No it was actually worse than that. Opponent had pocket 9s, Postle had j10, flop came 932 or something like that. Opp bet $20 and Postle called bc it was small and he had a chance to turn an open ender and bust the guys trips. Then a Jack came on the turn. Guy bet $50 and Postle folded with top pair bc he knew he was drawing dead.

Russillo pod today talks about it. He interviews some guy that has done a ton of investigating/digging into it. Joey Ingram I believe is his name.

Damn Joey Ingram was on that large of a podcast? He has done like probably 20 hours of content on Youtube about this in the past 10 days

and just for anyone on the fence, read the complaint for the lawsuit and it goes into detail about the stats and situational information that clearly paints the picture that cheating occurred
