Stuck around and got his 3000th hit. But he doesn't look like half the man he used to be. It's just kinda painful to even look. Albert Pujols on the other hand came back to St. Louis for an encore and had an absolutely amazing season. One for the ages in fact.

To be fair he looks like double the man he used to be.

Can't forget his greatest moment.

YT

sidenote, Hanley Ramirez and Miguel Cabrera were the best combo in baseball for 2 years.

Tigers are here in Denver for a series the weekend leading up to July 4th, with the Friday and Saturday night games having post-game fireworks shows. They let fans in bad sections to see the show come down on the outfield grass to watch. They put on really good fireworks shows.

I'll have to see to it that I attend one of those games to give Miggy a proper tip of the cap.

To be fair, he is like 30 years older than any other active player also...

If I remember right, we got to see him here in New Orleans on his way up.

If I'm not mistaken he went straight from AA to the Marlins mid-season. That and if memory serves the Zephyrs were also the Astros affiliate until after Miggy went to the show.

Thinking back I know I remember Brewers, Stros, Nats, Mets, and then finally Marlins in my time going to the Shrine. Miggy may have been a Tiger before the Zephyrs/Baby Cakes became a Marlins affiliate.

I was in the stands when he hit a walk off HR in his major league debut.

He went from AA to the show. Never played in NO. Spent a year of rookie ball in Illinois. A season of A ball in Jupiter, FL. Then half a season of AA in Raleigh, NC with the Mudcats before being called up to Marlins.

Miggy just turned 40.

It's a shame he's spent his entire career with the Marlins and Tigers or all you would hear about is how great he is. He's had a legendary career.

He is currently 14th all-time in RBI's.
30 more RBI's and he'll jump t0 12th.

Currently has more than 500 homeruns.

This is his 21st season.

12 seasons with over 100 rbi. 11 of them were in consecutive seasons.

10 seasons with over 30 homers.
8 seasons with over 100 runs scored.

And last - for those of you keeping score at home -

He's made over $385 mill off of his MLB contracts.

Leave it to a shitbird Cardinals fan to try to make it about them.

I've despised every team Miggy has played for, and I'd still root for him over anything out of St. Louis.

To be fair, the Tigers had some great teams during his career there. It’s honestly a shame they didn’t win a title cuz those teams were good. Had a pitching staff of Verlander, Scherzer, and David Price for a little bit.. that’s as good as it gets right there.
