I saw JYD take on Paul orndorff in a "anything goes" match in Monroe. Paul comes out in blue jeans and a football helmet. JYD comes out as simple ole JYD. Match ends with JYD ripping off the football helmet and putting it on and the speared Paul in the arse with it a few times. Crowd was epic.

I loved going to watch mid south wrestling with my maw maw.

he and kerry von eric were the only ones back then that were really built like today's wrestlers.

i went to two midsouth events in alex. at the coliseum. one when jimmy carnet got tar feathered and the other when jyd got his head split open on the concrete.

good times.

Wasn't Mid-South based out of Memphis? They always seemed to have the big events there.

Tricky Dick Murdoch!!

Was not the father of Trevor Murdoch.

WWE did buy a portion of the Mid South Library.

Those are gonna be some great DVD's.

Junkyard Dog whenever he would get beat in a loser leave town match would come back as Stagger Lee. I was 9 and could figure that one out. Still cracks me up though.

Leaping Lanny Poffo
Mr. Wresting II and Mr. Wrestling III(aka Bruiser Brody).

Used to catch Mid South on Sunday afternoons when they'd come to the University Center in Hammond.

It's not every day you see a pic of the Fantastics and the Midnight Express ft Dennis Condry. Speaking of Dennis, he is easily the ugliest cat to go by the name "loverboy"
