Thank you. I was about to post them. I wanted to grow up and be in the Rock n Roll Express. The Double Dropkick was one of the most devastating weapons unleashed on television.

I saw a 3 team cage match in Monroe. I don't remember all of the teams, but I remember Freebirds, the Great Kabuki and his damn green smoke, Hacksaw Jim Duggin and his bib overalls and big stomp (whatever that move was called) and Ted Dibiase... Not sure who the last guy was. Was a huge party with everyone pounding a way all at once -- I'm not sure who Dibiase was teamed with, but in the end, his partner turned on him, or he turned on his partner -- the crowd was like, "wtf just happened?"
Naturally, the freebirds won - those bastards.

The Freebirds rocked. Loved Mid South/UWF in Monroe.
Saw Sting and many of the guys eating at the Kettle in Monroe.

Sounds like Hillbilly Jim to me.

I remember Mid South and UWF being more brutal than the WWF at the time. The AWA would have some hardcore matches. Mainly just cuts on the forehead though.
To me the NWA champ is THE champion of pro wrestling.

Of course not now, but Adam Pearce and Colt Cabana have been having a pretty good 7 match series across the country for the NWA belt. Historically, it's the most important. TNA had the NWA belt until about four years ago.

5 pages and no mention of The Missing Link or The Bladerunners Flash and Rock. If my memory serves me correctly they were around in the mid south/UWF days. Times have really changed, wrasslin was great back then.

Thought the Bladerunners were Rock and Sting?
Rock became the Dingo Warrior, then the Ultimate Warrior
ETA: I'm wrong... you are right Flash was his name.

The Sheepherders, before WWF changed them into the goofy arse Bushwhackers, were an absolutely brutal tag team in Mid South/UWF
