If the Nets are indication, some other Chinese-connected buyer will appear to make a record bid.

Would buy. But a lot of those outdoor amenities seem unusable in the winter.

Wow, I didn’t think the NBA/China situation would affect MJ financially that much.

Jordan doesn’t need to own the team but someone with local ties needs to buy it.

The name Ric Flair keeps throwing around as a potential buyer for anything in the Carolinas is Felix Sabades, who is a businessman in the area in addition to being partner in a NASCAR race team.

I’d rather have more money
Like China, some rich Saudi guy or Tepper who owns the panthers

I'm guessing the outdoor patios have heated tile to go with that big fire place and the pools get hot-tub hot in the winter.

ETA:

I went to a cocktail party in Aspen that had heated driveways, heated walkways/sidewalks outdoors, heated patios, and even a heated grass courtyard.

I mean heated under the ground so ice/snow won't form/collect.

I'm sure all of his shite is the same way.

I don’t personally care for the “modern” look of the inside.

Your area, not mine.

I would just want someone with at least some local ties to keep the team from inevitably coming up as a possible transplant to Seattle or Vegas.

Assuming the energy for that isnt supplied by solar panels, that gas bill must be outrageous. With that being said, that's incredible and I'd definitely buy.

I meant that you are apparently tied to the Carolinas far more than I am.

From an outsider perspective, Charlotte is the kind of market that gets screwed by relocation.

And by that I also meant any foreign money as opposed to Tepper. Any team outside of a top market should be wary of some foreign billionaire showing up to buy it.

Yes and a hornets fan

I’d rather someone with much more money owning the team
If it’s foreign and poses the risk of moving, whatever.
Go big or go home
