This guy's own attorney is already walking back the story. Bennett is an attention seeking arse. I hope this blows up in his face.

It is amazing how angry you people get saying others jump to conclusions
The only one that jumped to conclusions is Bennett when he claimed he was only stopped because he was black. If anyone is angry, it's you.

there is video evidence of the cops running and walking past 100+ black people during this incident but because Bennett is the one detained, it obvious to you that Bennett was only stopped because he is black. And you based this on zero evidence.
There is a reason Bennett's attorney is walking back the racial profile claim already. Because it was bullshite. The video proves this

Obviously all "coons," not real black people, you privileged, cisgendered shitlord.

You guys are so transparent I'm sure you're still defending that officer who was suspended for that incident in Cobb County where he told the lady "relax, we only kill black people".

Haven't you figured it out yet? All of that shite only goes one way.

Civil Rights lawsuit? On what grounds? That he was put in handcuffs?

I think I saw SS reply to a pic or the video saying, "See that proves it."
But everything I've seen kinda disproves most of what Bennett said.
- His own attorney disagrees with him as Bennett says it's because he was black, attorney says it's not race related
- He wasn't arrested, but detained
- Video shows cops going by dozens of black people before going after Bennett. Doesn't that show that they likely had a reason(other than he's black) to bypass dozens of black people before going after Bennett?
- Still up for debate but video/screenshot seems to show what looks more like a taser than a gun. If it is a taser, it wouldn't make sense for the cop to say he'll blow Bennet's brains out...with a taser?

Tmz released video. I am sure this is been posted but I'm not reading through 15 pages. He wasn't illegally detained because he was black. It was because he was running albeit for his own safety after hearing the gunshots he said

That dumb arse Bennett should've at least got a second opinion before posting this.
What are you talking about dude, skrongsafety said they waited two weeks to go public with this because Bennett and his advisors were trying to come up with a strategy

For people like SS, incidents like this HAVE to be racist, or their worldview starts to fray at the seams.
Posted on 9/7/17 at 12:27 pm to TbirdSpur2010
Like I said earlier, that's the world he wants to live in. He distorts reality to fit his perception of the truth.

It's so weird and blatantly intellectually dishonest. Like for me, I have no problem calling balls and strikes. Good police behavior and bad police behavior. Cooperative civilians vs. those who choose to escalate. It doesn't matter to me which side is ultimately proven to be in the wrong in a specific incident, because I don't have an overarching narrative that's tied to the outcome.

Hell, I often do defense work. That doesn't exactly lead someone to be pro-law enforcement.
Posted on 9/7/17 at 12:39 pm to StrongBackWeakMind
Yeah usually quite the opposite
And the race element gets SO overplayed with regard to law enforcement. Just gets tiring after awhile.

It's amazing watching you make every single argument using words like "probably" where you then proceed to make things up out of thin air that cater to your preconceived positions.
This is why people laugh at your "objective facts" statement. But I bet on Facebook you get lots of likes by others who don't understand how to draw proper conclusions either.

TBird, everyone knows that about you - that's why you've never had your back against the wall like SS.. the world isn't as racist as people like him want to believe.. I think those who act like he does use that as an excuse for their life not turning out like they wanted to (and even if it did, there's always the race card excuse in their backpocket if needed)
Posted on 9/7/17 at 1:05 pm to Mr. Hangover
Most of the time, people have that type of outlook as a byproduct of having an external locus of control. If one absolves oneself of any/all culpability for negative incidents/situations, then it's easy to conclude that the world is out to get you. For majority ethnicities, it's "the man" keeping them down. For minorities, it's always the fault of the majority ethnicity, either directly or indirectly.
That's not to say that having an internal locus of control is a panacea. It's just far less toxic a stance, and more open to accounting for the nuance that defines human interaction.
