standard NBA finals no call. that was a weak shot attempt which im sure durant wishes he had back. this is also why chalmers never gets the foul call because he drives to the hoop like a pussy 9x out of 10.

Wade got a foul call with almost no contact earlier in the game on a drive....doesn't sound like a standard to me.

I'm not a regular NBA watcher, so I'll admit perhaps I'm seeing it wrong. As a casual person watching this though, it just feels like officiating is severely inconsistent. It feels like sometimes contact of some degree gets called, then later it isn't. Why are we replaying to see if it's Thunder or Heat ball, but we can't replay to see if Miami's 2 point goaltend (I think that's what it was called) is correct? I thought to grab a charge you had to be set, yet a charge was called earlier in the game and the commentator said that you don't necessarily have to be set. Why is that? Again, I admit I don't really know a lot about the NBA's rules, but it just makes it hard to watch when it feels so...non standardized?

so unless you go up "strong",you can't be fouled, that was a terrible no call

not necessarily, but youre obviously more likely to get the call by taking it strong and/or flopping in the NBA.

Exactly. I figured this series would go at least 6, but these first two games having me thinking 7 with how back and forth it is. I'd say

Game 3 - Miami
Game 4 - Thunder
Game 5 - Miami
Game 6 - Thunder
Game 7 - GAME ON!

Why are you posting the crying thing at me? People rooting against the Heat are the ones who constantly bitch about the officiating.

I'll laugh at a few calls along thew way, but I don't whine and cry near as much as you and just about everyone else on here.

I think some things we can all agree on are Chalmers fricking blows, Wade cannot dribble, and Westbrook forces stupid jumpers.

And Harden is the dumbest awesome player in the NBA

Anyone complaining about offciating favoring the Heat please come up with a single reasonable retort to the fact that Durant should've fouled out with like 6 minutes left on that charge. That is a foul every single time by every definition of the rule. So durant shouldn't have even been in the game

eh, it propelled Miami to a pretty good run. NBA refs suck for both sides.

I agree with you but I think original poster was trying to insinuate that if you take away the goaltending (which happened in the 1st half ) then it would have been a tie game there at the end. Or at least that's what I took from it. It doesn't work like that

there should be 4 officials in the playoffs. the players are too strong and the game is too fast for just three guys to officiate.

Right. That was easily the biggest call/no call of the game.

I still think (and hope) OKC in 6, but we'll see. I do think Miami will continue to need minutes from Cole if they want to win the series. He didn't produce much but he was able to eat up some time and get some of the stars some rest. Six-man rotation over a long series is just not gonna work.

And none older than 55. Well, maybe 60.

I'm surprised that Joel Anthony hasn't seen the floor at all in this series

If you are paying attention to the box score(from both games), the Thunder look like they have the game plan to win this series. The Heat got away with one here.

Why would he?

His game is basically limited to defending big bangers, and the Thunder don't have one.

This is as bad as the people saying the Thunder would sweep...come on man.

No it is not. In order for the Thunder to sweep, they would have to win 2 games in Miami

In order for the Heat to win in 5, they have to win 3 games at home

They were playing at home and lost.

I wouldn't exactly call that the perfect blueprint for success.

i honestly do think they should be younger guys.

former athletes who understand the physical abilities of these players would also be worth strongly considering.
